Have you been dreaming about your engagement photos lately? And saying, “I want an old-Hollywood Vintage look”?
Then you’ve come to the right place for inspiration for your vintage engagement session that exude vintage elegance with an Old Hollywood flair.
The Industrialist Hotel in Pittsburgh, Autograph Collection is the location we used to achieve the engagement idea Marissa had for her engagement vision.
As a documentary and artistic photographer, I love capturing timeless love stories in spaces that feel like they’re straight out of a classic film.
Marissa and Nick’s Engagement Photos is the ideal example of how a two-location shoot can bring out the best of both worlds.
A classic sophistication in the heart of the city and a sentimental, cozy vibe at the place where their journey began: The North Shore.
When Marissa first contacted me for her engagement photos, she expressed to me different engagement photo ideas she had in mind.
But the one that most resonated with her was the vintage, old Hollywood vibe one.
I started recommending places, and the more I described The Industrialist Hotel, the more we knew this gorgeous hotel was THE place for their Engagement.
One of the best things about booking a Stardust Lover’s Collection with Natalia Baqueiro Photography is you get the best of the two worlds.
With two different settings, you get a fully immersive experience that captures your love story in two different styles.
Choosing an engagement package that has two Locations, and two outfits gives you so much flexibility.
First, I always recommend an elegant look. And as a second option, a more casual vibe.
Marissa and Nick did this for their first look at the Industrialist Hotel in downtown Pittsburgh to fit their vintage, old Hollywood vision.
For their casual look Marissa and Nick pop a champagne and walked in Pittsburgh’s riverwalk.
This look is great to let lose, be more playful and get photos that are reflective of another aspect of your relationship.

As I mentioned before, for Marissa and Nick’s engagement photos, we started at The Industrialist Hotel.
This hotel is a hidden gem in Pittsburgh offering a moody, Old Hollywood aesthetic with rich textures, luxurious decor, and warm, intimate lighting.
Nestled inside the iconic Arrott Building, The Industrialist Hotel brings history to life in the heart of Downtown Pittsburgh.
Built in 1902, this architectural gem was once a beacon of Pittsburgh’s thriving steel industry.
Designed by Stonehill Taylor, the interiors pay homage to the Pittsburgh’s steel legacy.
It features warm metallic tones, deep textures, and a moody ambiance that creates the perfect Old Hollywood backdrop for your engagement session.
Both Marissa and Nick they dressed the part.
For the elegant look, Marissa wore a stunning white dress that felt effortlessly elegant, and Nick in a classic suit that paired perfectly with the ambiance.
We popped a bottle of champagne, soaked in the golden glow of the hotel’s interiors, and captured some of the most breathtakingly romantic, editorial-style photos.
For their Casual look, we moved to The North Shore, where Nick had originally proposed.
As you can see from the photos, it was a frigid winter day, but that didn’t stop us from creating magic.
Marissa’s second outfit was a gorgeous green long skirt paired with a silky long-sleeve blouse and heels—added a regal yet relaxed touch to the outdoor setting.
When Marissa and Nick first reached out, they told me how nervous they were about being in front of the camera.
But I always tell my couples—you don’t need to know how to pose. You just need to show up as you are and TRUST ME! I’ve got you.
Part of my job as a photographer is to make sure I get what I need from you, and give you that space and time for everything to happen.
And once we got started, their nerves disappeared.
We focused on having fun, staying in the moment, and embracing their connection.
The Industrialist Hotel provided such a warm and inviting atmosphere that got them verycomfortable, and their laughter and chemistry took over.
By the time we moved to The North Shore, they were completely at ease, lost in the experience rather than worrying about the camera.
It was a reminder that engagement photos aren’t about perfect poses—they’re about celebrating your love story in a way that feels natural and beautiful.
Not only is The Industrialist Hotel an amazing location for editorial-style engagement photos, but the service we received was exceptional.
The staff made sure we had everything we needed, allowing us to move around the space freely and ensuring the experience felt luxurious and seamless.
The ambiance of the hotel provided the perfect backdrop for timeless, artistic, and romantic photos.
One of the best parts of working with me is that you can share your vision, and we’ll make it happen!
Documentary photography is all about storytelling, and my approach is to capture emotions, movement, and those in-between moments that make your photos feel genuine and timeless.
If you have a specific aesthetic in mind, I always recommend putting together a Pinterest board. This helps bring your engagement ideas to life.
