If you’ve ever wondered how an Editorial Wedding Photography experience is, you are in the right place

There are some weddings that leave a lasting imprint—and Louise and Matt’s wedding was one of them.

Their day wasn’t just beautiful—it was passionate, intentional, and overflowing with connection.

They planned an intimate wedding celebration at the Grand Concourse in Pittsburgh, and every part of it reflected their devotion to each other.

As a documentary and editorial wedding photographer, my goal is to turn real love stories into timeless works of art—and Louise and Matt’s day gave me everything: emotion, elegance, and editorial moments that felt like they were plucked from the pages of a magazine.

Getting Ready at Hotel Indigo in the South Side

Louise and Matt chose Hotel Indigo in Pittsburgh’s South Side for their getting-ready location, and I couldn’t have asked for a more perfect backdrop.

The industrial design, moody lighting, and unique textures gave their getting-ready photos a modern, edgy vibe.

Louise got ready surrounded by her closest friends, and there was a quiet confidence about her.

She looked incredible in her sleek gown, and the hotel’s soft natural light helped create truly cinematic portraits.

Getting Ready Intimate Sexy Photos

We also managed to get a couple of intimate sexy photos of her as she drank champagne and got ready to put on her dress.

Exploring Louise sensuality and being able to have an intimate experience while she was getting ready for her wedding was important.

I wanted her to have portraits of herself in an artistic and beautiful way.

Matt got ready in the hotel suite, and we captured both excitement and calm in his moments leading up to the ceremony.

These early hours of the wedding day are some of my favorite to document.

They’re often quiet, unscripted, and full of anticipation—and when the setting is as cool as Hotel Indigo, you can bet the photos will feel unforgettable.

Intimate Ceremony and Reception at Pittsburgh’s Grand Concourse

The Grand Concourse is iconic for a reason—its timeless architecture, historic beauty, and rich textures offer so much inspiration for photography.

Louise and Matt’s ceremony took place in front of their closest loved ones, and every moment was raw and heartfelt.

From soft glances and tender touches to tearful vows, their ceremony was the kind of moment that makes documentary photography so powerful.

I didn’t need to pose much—everything they shared was real, and that authenticity translated beautifully on camera.

Intimate Reception full of Heartfelt Moments

For their reception, the Grand Concourse turned into an elegant celebration space.

Think warm lighting, sparkling champagne, and stolen kisses by the staircase.

Their editorial portraits inside the venue feel like a scene from an old romantic film—timeless and rich in emotion.

The Photography Style: Editorial Meets Emotion

Louise and Matt wanted more than just traditional wedding photos.

They were drawn to documentary-style storytelling that focused on artistic composition and authentic emotion.

That’s exactly what we created—images that feel editorial in tone but deeply human in emotion.

There’s a balance I strive for as a photographer: editorial elegance mixed with documentary soul.

Every frame from their wedding reflects their love, their personalities, and the timeless quality of their day.
